The West Coast Wine Competition will commence on April 22 and end on April 24, 2009 in Rohnert Park, CA.

An esteemed panel of judges include top journalists, winemakers, distributors, restaurant sommeliers, and other industry elite as well as media and marketers of wine, many of whom make direct use of awards results in their purchasing and marketing decisions. This year's panel includes representatives from:

  • Carneros Bistro/wine Radius
  • Balzac Communications
  • Bottle Barn
  • California Grapevine Magazine
  • BevMo!
  • Dry Creek Kitchen/charlie Palmer Group
  • Young's Marketing Company
  • and others

Winning an award in WCWC affords you both a unique selling proposition in your retail room and adds talking points in your retail room. Remember, only wines from the above noted regions are able to enter. A win here shows how your wine really stacks up against others produced in the same areas.

In 2008, we had a field of over 1,700 entries. Our judges awarded a total of 16 Double Gold, 179 Gold, 600 Silver, and 506 Bronze medals. We expect 2009 to be a banner year.

We are pleased to welcome Sonoma Mountain Village as an official event sponsor in 2009!
