International Women's Wine Competition
Greetings from the Chief Judge
2011 International Women's Wine Competition
Sonoma County, CA
Judging: November 1-2, 2011
Hello and welcome to the newly re-branded International Women's Wine Competition!
We all know that medals move wines, but as as you may or may not know, women choose and buy eight out of every 10 bottles of wine drunk at home* on a daily basis. That is a very big market share whose sales are heavily influenced by women.
That’s why this competition, judged entirely by women, was conceived.
Our mission? To provide the female perspective to professional wine buyers and consumers. This will help you identify wines that women will enjoy and ultimately purchase. That's why this competition is so important. It gives women in the wine industry the choice to determine the best options available to female wine consumers.
This wine competition is judged with a feminine spirit and an intuitive edge. Our job is to attract the best female judges, give them the environment they need to fairly evaluate your wines, and let the winners emerge.
IWWC is committed to the highest standards of competition. Our promise is that wines will be appropriately categorized to their best, and will be judged by leading women in the wine industry affording our winners medals they can be proud to promote.
I hope you'll see the value and importance in this unique wine competition and enter your wines into the running!
