Editor in chief
Tina Caputo leads a seasoned team of writers who deliver quality results. Tina has her finger on the pulse of what's happening in the wine industry. Her contacts have her at the editor's desk and out covering a variety of industry events-all this to keep our readers well informed. Our contributing columnists are specialists in their fields and deliver the insights you rely on each issue to make your business thrive. Caputo brings more than 16 years of wine-industry experience to V&WM. Before joining the magazine in 2008, she spent five years as the managing editor at Wines & Vines magazine. She began her career at the Wine Institute and went on to work in public relations/communications for international wine importer Maisons Marques & Domaines USA. Throughout her career she has written about wine for publications including the San Francisco Chronicle, Harpers Wine & Spirit and Meininger's Wine Business International.

Retail & Restaurant Columnist
Tim Teichgraeber cut his teeth in retail wine sales before becoming the wine columnist for the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Today he is a contributor to the San Francisco Chronicle, Tasting Panel, Opus Vino and other publications, when he's not working as an entertainment lawyer in San Francisco.

Back-Page Columnist
Author of the wine blog Dr. Vino, Tyler Colman teaches wine classes at New York University and the University of Chicago, and is the author of the book "Wine Politics: How Governments, Environmentalists, Mobsters, and Critics Influence the Wines We Drink."

Senior Feature Editor
Ted Rieger has been a contributing editor for V&WM since 1990. A graduate of California State University, Sacramento with degrees in Environmental Resources and Journalism, he has worked as a freelance writer since 1984, covering the wine industry, agriculture, energy, construction, recreation and natural resources.

Marketing Columnist
Elizabeth Slater is internationally recognized as a seminar/ workshop leader, speaker and trainer. Through her company, In Short Direct Marketing, Elizabeth consults with wineries and related associations to create and implement marketing and PR programs.

Viticulture & Enology Columnist
Remi Cohen is the director of winemaking & viticulture for Cliff Lede Vineyards in Napa Valley. Her primary areas of expertise include viticulture, sustainable vineyard management, winemaking, grower and winery relations, and strategic business development. She also writes a wine industry blog, which can be found at blog.vinestowine.com.

Public Relations Columnist
Paul Wagner is the owner/president of Balzac Communications & Marketing, based in Napa, CA, as well as an international wine lecturer and instructor for Napa Valley College's Viticulture and Enology Department.

Northwest Correspondent
Gary Werner
Werner is a Seattle-based wine industry journalist, communications consultant, and former communications director for the Washington Wine Commission. Formerly based in London, he has been a contributor to Wine & Spirit (UK), Decanter, Harpers Wine & Spirit and JancisRobinson.com .

Eastern Correspondent
Marguerite Thomas
Thomas is a Baltimore-based journalist and photographer who contributes wine-related articles to several national and international publications. She is the author of the books "Wineries of the Eastern States" and "Visiting East Coast Wineries."
